Review | Sleek i-Divine Palette in Storm

This is something that I recently included in my haul that I did that you can find here and there I promised a review on it and so here it is. I know that this is a very popular product and so you may have seen many other reviews on it therefor this post may not bring anything new to the table but I wanted to write about it and so I am.

Here is the Sleek i-Divine Palette in Storm and this is what it looks like;

Colours: The colours in this palette are just beautiful. There are 12 colours all together 3 of which are matt and 9 are shimmers. Personally, I prefer the shimmers so I like the fact that the majority of colours here are shimmers rather than matt ones. So this is what the colours look like;

The best thing about these shadows is the pigmentation of them. Oh my my! Its amazing. I think that that's all you really want in an eye shadow: great pigmentation and beautiful colours. But then there'sthe lasting power of them and that's great too. Generally I don't wear a eye primer and when I put these shadows on in the morning they last all day long with no creasing what so ever which I think is amazing. Although just because they last all day on me, you may want to use a primer.

So yeah I just generally love this palette. Another good thing about this is that it is only £7.99 for 12 amazing colours! I am definitely going to get a good use out of this because its got some really wearable colours in it. Its not the type of palette that has a load of crazy colours in it its the complete opposite. I love it!

NOTD | Nails Of The Day

Today's post is just going to be a quick NOTD so here we go..

This is a Dior Addict nail polish and to be honest it has just been sitting there in my collection for quite some time. My Grandma gave it to me along with a lot of other polishes and I just chucked it my draw with the rest of them but as I was going through my collection the other day I decided to try it out and that is why the colour doesn't quite suit the weather at the moment.

As you can see its not really the most summery colour but I think that it would be really nice for the Autumn and winter months. The colour is called Vernis 570 and its a plummy pinky colour with extremely fine pink sparkles in it that catch the light when you move your hand.

If you look at my thumb I tried it out with a glitter polish on the top and I'm really not sure what I think of it. I don't know whether I like it better with the glitter polish or without so tell me what you think in the comments below.

I think that this is from quite an old collection so from looking into it I don't think that you can get it anymore but that doesn't mean to say that you won't find someone on eBay that sells it.

Thank you for reading xx

Let's Fly, Let's Fly Away...

Wowee, its kind of hard to believe that its already August! It seems like only yesterday that I was counting down the seconds to the new year on December 31st!

 Oh how time flys. Anyway, what I'm trying to say here is that I will be going on holiday on Saturday and so I won't be able to post anything for you . This is because I have no idea whether they'll be any Internet over there and I also don't know when I'll get a chance to write anything. I don't want to promise you that I'll carry on posting over my holiday because I know full well that I just won't get round to it. I am going for two weeks so I guess that's quite a long time but I can promise you that if I find myself at a loose end during my holiday I'll carry on writing some post that I've been working on recently and so I'll have lots of things to post when I get back. So..sorry about that but at least you've got something to look forward to.

For anyone who is interested I am going to Portugal, West Algarve to be precise. I have been there before and its lovely. I can't wait to go again! Above is a picture of the pool that we will be renting along with a beautiful private villa that's only a 12 minute walk to the beach! I am really excited and I just can't wait to lay back and relax in the sunshine. I'll be back soon so don't miss me too much! See you in a couple of weeks :D

Review | Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain

Recently I went to London for the 2012 Olympics and whilst I was there I went for a shop. I popped into Boots and picked up this little beauty...

The Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Lovesick. As I said, I got this from boots and at the moment there is an introductory offer of £5.99 but they normally retail at £7.99 which is quite reasonable.

Colour: The colour that I picked up is called "Lovesick" and is the number 020. Its a really bright and vibrant fuchsia. This wouldn't be a colour to go for if you were feeling shy because you will certainly get noticed with this on. In the stick format, if you look closely you can see some tiny flecks of sparkles but this isn't noticeable at all on the lip. The colours in this range seem to vary on lasting power (so I've heard). The lighter shade such as "Honey" tend to wear or slightly quicker than a really dark colour such as "Lovesick" or "Crush". However, saying that the staying power is just generally amazing. I put this on in the morning and then went about my "daley" (Olympic diving reference for you there!) business i.e eating and drinking and what not and it just didn't come off.

Scent: One of the best things about this product is the scent. It has a really light and refreshing minty scent which I think  is really lovely. Personally, I don't like heavily scented lip products because they tend to make me feel ill but because of how lightly this is scented I love it.

Feel: For a lip stain, this feels soo moisturising. I guess this is because of the balm element of it but I really think that it adds to the product so much. Sometimes, lip stains can be really drying and so when a product has as much stainage power as this does and then to have such a moisturising feel it automatically becomes a winner and something that I would be more inclined to go for over a more drying stain.

Packaging: I think that this is supposed to look like a crayon and I really like that. Its bright and chunky and that gives it a fun feel. To use the product you have to twist the silver bottom and more prouduct comes out the top. I  love the twisty thing because it saves me from constantly having to sharpen it.

Overall: I like this lip stain very much. It has all the things that you could really ever want in a lip product. It has great lasting power, its non-drying, its lightly and nicely scented and the colour is amazing! Can I find any negatives with this? No, I don't think I can.

Haul-aroony

From the title you can probably tell that this post is going to be a haul. If you don't like haul posts then I strongly advice you to click off this post now, quit while your ahead and all that but if you do like haul post then..read away!

I went into to town to buy my work experience clothes. Next week I will be going to a solicitors office to complete my work experience and I had literally no clothes that would be suitable for that sort of professional environment so I picked up a few items that would be a bit more "office appropriate". Firstly, I went to Marks and Spencer. Now I know that you may laugh at me for going there because its not really the place that most teens go to get their clothes but number one: I couldn't care less about what name it says on the label and number two: my Mum wanted to go in there for something and I saw these items and then that was me done meaning that I didn't need to go to anymore shops however that didn't stop from actually going into them.

The first thing that I picked up was this skirt. It was in the sale so it was £10 down from £17.50 and I really liked it. It fastens at the side with the aid of three buttons and if I wear it on my waist it comes down to my knee. I really like this, the colours are so bright and summery and even though outside its not that summery it won't stop me from trying to feeling summery.

I also got another one that was exactly the same but the pattern looked like this:

Next, I got this blouse. Its really cute! The following picture is the best representation of it, it really doesn't do it justice but its a light chiffon fabric with a little black peter pan collar. Its a cute pink colour and the pattern is just the sweetest thing ever. Anything with cats on and I'm sold so I just had to have this. Again this was also in the sale so it was £15 down from £22.50.

And the final thing that I got from M&S was a white t-shirt with this pattern on it:

As later this year me, my Mum and my sister are going to the Olympics my mum insisted that we each get an Olympic themed t-shirt. I like this one the best so I chose this one. My sister got a grey one with a multi-coloured writing that said "London 2012" on it and my mum go a black on with small gold writing that also said "London 2012" on it. This was £15 and buying these actually made me that little bit more excited about the Olympics!

Next, I went to Primark. Oh good old Primarni! I wanted some cheap shoes that went with every outfit for my work experience so I picked up these;

These are some little beige ballerina flats with cute bows on the end. They have a patent finish and I really like that. They were only £5 so a real bargain.

And then, as we were leaving, I saw this necklace and I just decided to buy it because I liked it and thought that it would go with some of the things i had already bought (I know that some people will look at the stuff I bought and then t this necklace and say that they don't go at all but I like them together and really, that's all that matters.)
I then went to Superdrug and got a few things. Here they are:

The first two things that are here are both from Neutrogena and they are the Visibly Clear Rapid Clear Treatment and the Visibly Clear Spot Stress Control (in a nutshell, a spot cream and a moisturiser.) I let you know how I get on with those two later on when I've had a chance to use them.

I also got some make-up items for my holiday. The Collection 2000 Skyscraper mascara in Black and this one is also waterproof (a non-waterproof version is available) and a Rimmel Exaggerate Auto Waterproof Eye Definer. I bought these because I needed some waterproof make-up to wear on holiday. Who wants black streaks down their face whilst people are taking pictures? Not me! This mascara wand is quite different. It has shorter bristles on one side and longer bristles on the other. I haven't properly used this yet so I couldn't tell you what I think of it but once I've got a chance to use it I'll let you know what its like as with the eyeliner. By the way the eyeliner is in 240 Aqua Sparkle.

The final thing that I got was the Sleek Storm i-Divine Palette. As I've said with the other products a review to come on this one with swatches and things. It will probably be up quite soon actually because I'm really excited to write it!

Thanks for reading! Look out for the reviews to come!
